The idea of Personal Work or Personal Projects is something that is much talked about among photographers. Although the precise definition varies from person to person the general idea is that the photographer creates a self constructed project in an area of personal interest without the deadlines and other constraints imposed by commissioned work.
The project maybe used to explore a theme of particular interest to photographer or maybe perfect certain skills or develop new ones. Whatever the purpose of the project it needs to be constructed around some kind of framework to create a final homogenous body of work even if it is only seen by the photographer.
Currently I am working on several such projects, some to experiment with techniques and develop skills, others to explore areas of personal interest. Several of my projects are shown on this page, clicking on the various images will take you to that projects' page.
